Meet our Founder

Dr. Leanna Hodges is the founder of Harbor Village Academy, an autism-focused microschool created to provide individualized, evidence-based education for students who need a more supportive and responsive learning environment. As both a mother and an experienced special educator, she brings a unique combination of professional expertise and personal understanding to the work of building a school where children with autism and related learning differences can thrive. Her background includes supporting students through differentiated instruction, language-rich teaching, and evidence-based practices designed to strengthen communication, academic growth, and independence.

Harbor Village Academy was inspired by her desire to build the kind of school she wanted for her own son—a place where students are understood holistically, families are true partners, and each child’s strengths are honored. Her mission is to create a learning community where students receive individualized support not only academically, but socially, emotionally, and developmentally, in an environment designed to help them grow with confidence.

Enrollment Options

  • Complete full time academic experience with individualized instruction and structured learning opportunities.

    Tuition: $20,000

  • Targeted academic support within a shorter or 3 day schedule.

    Tuition: $13,500

  • We proudly accept ESA/scholarship funding through Texas Education Agency-related options, including TEFA funds when available for eligible families. Families also have an opportunity to apply for eligible scholarships through our Newton portal.

  • Sibling discount available for families enrolling more than one child.
